The Time Is Now

No…..not later. Even though your brain will try to convince you into thinking that later is better.

Like when you don't have so much on your plate.

Or like when the kids go back to real in-person school.

Or when your job settles down a bit.

Or once COVID is over (good luck waiting for this one).

I hate to tell you, but the longer you wait, the harder it is.

Most of us want to think of ourselves as being "naturally thin" and that our current weight is a temporary setback. Something caused us to gain weight a while back, and the pounds stayed on.

And the sneaky part is that we go from being overweight for a short while, to a few years, to 5 or 10, to 20+ and so on if we don't address it head on, once and for all.

And if we don't take care of it, then being overweight just becomes part of our identity.

Do you believe that losing weight will be available to you whenever you finally decide to make it a priority? If so, what you aren't taking into consideration is that it becomes harder and harder with age, especially as your habits get solidified.

Because inertia sets in.

The longer you wait to learn how to lose the weight for good, the more likely you are to be resigned to your current weight and give up on trying altogether.

You see, it is relatively easy to lose weight when we think all of our circumstances are "perfect" on the outside, when we have 100% control over our schedules. And then inevitably "life" happens and we encounter a setback, and we are back where we started.

In contrast, if you learn how to lose weight and keep it off when your "circumstances" aren't ideal, you will you will be building the resiliency to maintain your ideal weight indefinitely.

Every day you spend hemming and hawing about losing weight instead of actually committing to doing it is one fewer day you will get to live on planet earth at your ideal weight.
